Future plans As last year the museum wants to organize a few events:
A recurring phenomenon is the Batavia Art Festival. This event will take place twice somewhere in June and August. As in previous years the Museum Bahari will participate with an informative stand.
Since education is a major for us we want to organize several school visits. This year the visits will be made in close cooperation with nautical business communities. We invite persons with nautical experience to share their compassion of their job with schoolchildren.
During July when we celebrate our anniversary (7th day of the 7th month …) several activities like workshops, competitions and an exhibition will be kept. Further information will follow.
Furthermore we have the intention to further renovate the museum. This monstrous job will take a lot of our time and energy. Preparations are well under way. Rest assured, you will be able to visit the museum during the works. However, it is possible the usual route is slightly adapted in order to safeguard our visitors.
We still have to organize some matters for these activities. Therefore please check out this website regularly as well as local news media for further investigation.
